The United Aircraft Corporation was established as a joint stock company to consolidate Russia’s main aviation assets in accordance with the RF President’s decree of February 20, 2006. In April 2015 the full name was changed to Public Joint Stock Company “United Aircraft Corporation”.
The Corporation was created with a view to preserving and developing the scientific and production potential of the Russian aviation industry, to ensure the state’s security and defense capabilities, to pool intellectual, industrial and financial resources for implementing prospective programs of new aircraft development.
UAC is among the world’s leading players in aviation uniting more than 30 leading Russian companies – design bureaus, manufacturing and service plants.
UAC’s companies carry out a full range of services – from aircraft development to service and utilization – owning the rights to such world renown brands as Sukhoi, MiG, Ilyushin, Tupolev, Beriev, as well as new brands – Superjet 100 and MC-21.
The Corporation’s assets are located in a number of Russia’s regions, joint ventures are located in India and Italy.
