Jean-Louis Montel has joined Dassault Aviation 46 years ago as Flight test engineer. He has lead the test team of many programs, military (Mirage F1, Mirage 2000, Atlantique, Super Etendard, Rafale,) or civilian (Falcon) until 1994. Then, he took the position of Flight Tests deputy Vice President and Flight Tests Vice President in 1998.

He joined the Engineering division in 2003 as Senior Vice President and oversighted all the development of military and civilian programs of the company until 2018: Rafale Neuron, Mirage2000 and Atlantique upgrade, Falcon 7X, Falcon 8X, Falcon Multi missions,

He took the position of Senior Adviser to the Chairman of Dassault Aviation in January 2019. In February 2020, he added the position of Executive Aviation Safety Officer for Dassault Aviation Company
